Minifigs Monthly is a subscription service from The Minifig Co. created to bring fresh, highly limited and 100% custom mini figures right to your door every month. Each box shipped with two unique figs designed to fit the theme of the month.
Create a sub-brand subscription service to convert existing customers into loyal repeat customers while also appealing to potential buyers.
For this project I needed to establish a monthly schedule with a design theme ie. Cyperpunk, medieval, pirates etc. Once we had a plan, I tackled package design and each pair of figure designs. Everything was sketched out then cleaned up and/or vectorized in Adobe Ps and Ai.
Each drop was limited to the number of subscribers creating highly limited and extremely collectable series of figures.
Our custom artwork was printed directly onto blank, genuine LEGO parts.
All figures were mostly printed on Roland UV printers fitted with custom jigs to hold each piece. Other accessories, like hats and armor, were pad printed recreating the same process LEGO uses on their own products.
